Confirmation
In sacrament of Confirmation it unites us more firmly to Christ, and roots us more deeply in the divine filiation. It also gives us the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit are; wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. Another thing we receive from Confirmation is the special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldy and never be ashamed of him and the Cross.
At the Heart of the Eucharistic celebration are the bread and wine which are turned into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The Lord told the church to do this in memory of him until he comes again.
What happens during the sacrament of Confirmation?
First: baptismal promises are renewed.
Second: The Bishop extends his hands over the whole group of the confirmands. and invokes the outpouring of the Spirit in words.
Thrid: The essential rite, and the annointing with the chrism on the forehead. [Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.]
